LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Hundreds of miles away from Florida, people here in Kentuckiana have felt connected to Trayvon Martin.
Another peaceful rally was held Friday, July, 19, on the Big Four Bridge in Louisville.
Dozens of people marched across the span to show their support for his family.
They released black balloons and wore hoodies similar to the one Martin wore the night he was gunned down and killed.
Melvin Scott the organizer of the event says people need to move on.
"Do something to ease the negative attention that's been given off the Zimmerman trial a lot of people feel some type of way about what happened but we have to move forward," Scott said.
More rallies are planned around the Louisville area over the next few days and weeks.
