The snow didn't stop downtown arena officials from moving forward with some big news. The arena announced another $1. 5 million sponsorship from Insight Communications.
"This is the signature building in all of Louisville and we are getting ready to roll out our business services throughout downtown so to have this as a partner is really exciting for us.” said Jason Keller, Dir. of Public Affairs for Insight.
Insight will provide 300 HD televisions at the new arena, phone service and internet service.
They also announced that Ted Nicholson is the new General Manager for the arena.
He previously worked with Churchill Downs, Incorporated at their Miami track.
"My job is to operate the facility making sure that everyone is safe, happy and content and secure when they leave their car and when they come to the building they have a good time," said Nicholson.
Nicholson started his new job two weeks ago.
