LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Former UofL football player and Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch is back in Louisville this weekend.
He did an autograph signing on Fern Valley Road Friday morning, May 31, to benefit the WHAS Crusade for Children.
It's a cause that's close to Branch's heart.
His son has complications related to meningitis and currently lives at the Home of the Innocents. Branch says its part of his duty to raise awareness about these great causes.
“Hopefully it raises awareness so that is one of the things we can do; we're not here to force anyone. If you can do it, do it. Whether you give $5, $10 that's more than nothing,” Deion Branch, former UofL football player, said.
The 60th Annual WHAS Crusade for Children is June 1 and 2. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit children across Kentuckiana like Elsie.
