LOUISVILLE, Ky -- A Larue County Sheriff's Deputy has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the December shooting that ended in the death of a suspect.
The grand jury met Monday and returned a "no true bill" decision against Deputy James Williamson. That means there was not sufficient evidence to bring charges.
Police say on December 7, 2012 Williamson shot Thomas Ferguson after he tried to pull over Ferguson.
After a chase, police say Ferguson sped towards Williamson's cruiser and Williamson fired several shots into the car, hitting Ferguson.
