(WHAS 11)--The Greater Clark County School Board officially voted to accept the resignation of Jeffersonville High School's assistant principal Tuesday night.

The board said David Milburn will accept early retirement in exchange for the district dropping its investigation into misconduct allegations.

Milburn resigned Nov. 9 after he was accused of shoplifting. Greater Clark County superintendent said Milburn was caught stealing from the Middletown Walmart where he was also an employee.
