LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- The Danville pawn shop that was the site of a triple homicide in September is set to host an auction to sell the remaining merchandise within the store.
Store owner, Steve Devine, said the benefit auction will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. and all proceeds will go to the Mike and Angela Hockensmith Fund. The fund was set up to assist the two sets of grandparents that took on the responsibility of raising the children of the victims.
Devine would not say how much money is in the fund, so far, but he said it was “surprising.”
Devine was a co-owner of the store, along with the Hockensmiths. The Hockensmiths were shot to death in the store, along with a customer.
A Danville pastor, Kenneth Allen Keith, 48, has been charged with the murders. He plead not guilty to the charges in November. He is set for a bond hearing on December 2 at 9 a.m.
