LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Authorities have identified the two children killed in a fatal house fire in Louisville on Christmas morning.
Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Rita Taylor told The Courier-Journal on Saturday that 12-year-old Solon L. Bailey and his brother, 10-year-old William T. Bailey, died at the scene.
The two boys, from Barre, Vt., were visiting their grandparents, Irving and Cathy Bailey. The grandparents suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the blaze and were in a hospital, according to a family statement.
Cathy Bailey is a former ambassador to Latvia and major GOP fundraiser who has been considering a run for the U.S. Senate.
