LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The coroner identified James Charles Boyd Jr., 23, as the man found dead at an apartment fire at a SWAT standoff.
The standoff happened as police were trying to serve a warrant at an apartment in the 400 block of Campbell Street Wednesday November 14.
According to police Boyd fired shots at officers then barricaded himself inside. The apartment later caught fire.
The coroner says that Boyd died from a self-inflicted gun shot to the head.
