(WHAS 11)--Louisville mayor Greg Fischer is in Washington for the National Conference of Mayors meeting.
The leadership meeting is for a select group of mayors who discuss national issues impacting local governments including those mandatory budget cuts.
Mayor Fischer told us before he left the so called sequestration will be a hot topic at this year's winter leadership meeting.
They will also talk about immigration and gun safety. The event runs Feb 27 and 28th in DC.
