LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The annual U.S. Civil Rights Movement concert series took place Sunday at the Central Presbyterian Church just in time for the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.
The event featured performances from local singers, choirs and dancers.
There was also a stirring rendition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Organizers are please with this year’s turnout and are hoping for more next year.
All proceeds from the event support their musicians scholarship fund.
