(WHAS11) -- More than one hundred people concerned about burglaries in their neighborhoods came out to find a way to stop it.

About 125 concerned residents were here just a few hours ago.  Wanting to know not just what the police were doing, but what they themselves could do to protect their homes from break-ins.

Police say Highlands burglaries have increased since September but they are zeroing in on suspects and they need neighbor's help.
