Louisville, KY (NEWS RELEASE) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists that the collector ramp on westbound Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway) to Interstate 64 will be closed this weekend. Contract crews will be replacing concrete pavement in the collector ramp lanes leading to I-64. Motorists traveling west on I-264 approaching the US 60 (Shelbyville Road) interchange will not be able to access the collector ramp that leads to Interstate 64.
The collector ramp from westbound I-264 to I-64 is scheduled for closure from 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 26 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29. Motorists that need to access I-64 should follow the signed detour via westbound I-264 to southbound Breckenridge Lane (Exit 18A), immediately access eastbound I-264 and follow to I-64.
During this work, the exit ramps from westbound I-264 to US 60 will remain open. Motorists entering westbound I-264 from US 60 will also have access to I-64.
