Civil rights marker noting downtown Lou. sit-ins unveiled

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The first of 12 markers planned to note the downtown sit-ins 50 years ago was unveiled May 14.

The first marker to go on display is at Fourth and Guthrie Streets, where important demonstrations were held by African Americans protesting in front of businesses that wouldn't serve them.
