LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Churchill Downs is getting a groundbreaking new video board.
The big board will be 171-feet wide and 90-feet tall making it the only video board in an outdoor stadium or arena that can display the ultra high definition technology. It will also be the largest 4K board in the world.
It's going up midway along the back stretch and alongside the dirt track.
The $12 million project is set to be completed by mid-March. It's being unveiled to the public at "opening night" of Kentucky Derby week on April 26.
