LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Thanks to a special event for the 60th year of the WHAS Crusade for Children, buying a car means much needed funding is going to children with special needs.

Thanks to the Kentucky Telco Federal Credit Union and Craig and Landreth auto dealerships, the Crusade received a $3,500 donation.

During the months of April and May, $60 was set aside for each car loan generated between the two companies.

“It seemed to make sense for both us and Kentucky Telco on giving something back to the community," Andy Hall of Craig and Landreth said.

Both companies said they plan to do this fundraiser again, and hope the next time they raise more money for the Crusade.
