LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Authorities were on the scene of an accident this morning at the intersection of Preston Highway and Fern Valley Road.
According to police, the car jumped the curb and hit the Marathon gas station sign just before 7 a.m.
Half of the sign’s cement foundation crashed to the ground.
The vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front end.
The driver was taken to the hospital and police have not determined the exact cause of the crash.
There was only one vehicle involved.
