LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Three victims who were injured last week when the chartered bus they were on crashed on Interstate 64 have filed a lawsuit against Commonwealth Bus Service and Transportation.

The suit was filed Wednesday, June 19, on behalf of Angel Hahn, Suzanne Strong and Kristin Fraley.

It says all three suffered serious injuries caused by negligence on the part of the bus company.

Students from Waggener High School were on their way home from a college visit when the front tire of the bus blew out. That caused the driver to lose control and the bus hit a concrete barrier.

Thirty-eight people were taken to six area hospitals for treatment.
