(WHAS11) - The grand children of prominent Louisville republicans Irv and Cathy Bailey will be laid to rest in Vermont today.
12-year-old Solon Bailey and his 10-year-old brother, William Liam Bailey, were killed Christmas morning after a fire at the Bailey family home in Glenview.
Fire officials said they have identified some pieces of evidence in the fire, but are not sure if they will ever know what caused the blaze.
In lieu of flowers, the Bailey family is instead requesting memorial contributions to support children's education programs.
They ask for donations to be sent to the Beauregard Foundation, the Solon and Liam Fund, in care of Chrysalis Ventures.
