BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Bullitt county man accused of torturing and killing cats has entered a guilty plea.
Alex Phelps' trial was supposed to begin Tuesday but he entered that plea at the last minute.
Court documents say Phelps would answer Craigslist ads where people were offering cats to a good home.
According to the documents he would then torture, mutilate and kill the animals. Phelps has said it was for medical research.
Final sentencing is set for January.
