A Bullitt County Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested by his own officers after a domestic dispute.
44-year-old Robert "Bobby" Gavin Hedges was arrested early Sunday morning at his home.
He wasn't just arrested by his own officers but by the Chief, Chief Danny Thompson himself.
Robert Hedges is at the Bullitt County Detention Center, charged with fourth degree assault for domestic violence.
Sunday afternoon, police returned to Hedges home where the incident allegedly happened.
They interviewed the victim again and she told police he'd assaulted her.
“She alleges that he had kicked her in the stomach and pretty good verbal and physical confrontation. The Chief actually made the arrest and charged him with assault in the 4th degree,” said Lt. Det. Scotty McGaha of the Bullitt Co. Sheriff's Department.
Hedges works the late watch, third shift at the department and has been with the department for 3 years.
