(WHAS11) - He's a good student, very bright, loves to be outside, and loves his mom. But, Isaiah Johnson is missing one thing in his life that's he been waiting a long time for, a big brother.
Isaiah is like 400 other young kids in Kentuckiana who need a match. In fact, Big Brothers Big Sisters in Louisville is staying open late to answer any calls from potential volunteers who may want to enrich their lives by steering a young person to a great future.
Eight-year-old Isaiah loves adventure, on an 8-year-old's scale. Walking on a skateboard, he's ready to walk into the life of a caring big brother.
Isaiah has been on the big brothers waiting list for one year. His mom Regina says it's been tough. Isaiah is eager to have a positive male role model in his life and it's obvious that he and his mom are ready to make it work.
If you're interested in becoming a big brother or big sister volunteer, just give them a call and they will come to your home, your business, or visit with you after hours to get the process started.
WHAS11 is celebrating its 20th year of reporting on this organization, helping match adult volunteers with a little brother or little sister.
