LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Bobby Nichols has been honored as Louisville's next hometown hero.
A large "Bobby's Louisville" banner was hung on the Watterson City East Building on August 3.
It can be seen from the Watterson Expressway near Newburg Road.
The banner will coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Nichols' 1964 PGA win. Nichols won 15 times on the PGA Tour and was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.
Nichols will join the likes of Muhammad Ali, Diane Sawyer, Pat Day and Colonel Sanders.
