Jeffersonville, Ind. (WHAS) – Extensive decorative lighting on the Big Four Bridge is in the works with a price tag of $1.5 million.
The Waterfront Development Corporation is managing the conversion of the old railroad bridge into a multi-use pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists.
They’re also looking for donations for computer controlled lights that will illuminate the bridge in a variety of colors for holidays and special events.
The Big Four Bridge is scheduled to open on the Kentucky side in late December while Indiana will open in spring 2013.
