Bats players visit local youth at YMCA

LOUISVILLE, Ky.  --  Louisville Bats players made a special visit to the YMCA Friday morning, July 12.

The minor league ball players showed up to the YMCA's Newcomer Academy summer program at Olmsted North Academy.

The players talked to kids about being a competitive athlete and the training and skills required to do so. They also preached the importance of stretching properly and showed them how to run drills.

The YMCA's program is made up of kids new to the United States and are 'English as a second language' students.
