LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It's the first day of Spring and the Big Dance has begun. Work? What's that?

“You can't concentrate on anything. You want to keep checking the box scores on your phone. It's very hard,” fan Nick Burch said.

“No one’s in the office, they're not missing anything,” fan Sasha Munn said.

In basketball country, tourney time means the best place to watch the game replaces the cubicle.

“For 20 years I’ve been taking off these two days,” fan Robert Davis said.

Tradition also overrules the need to work this time of the year as well.

“It's kind of a tradition that we hang out here, drink a few brews, eat some wings, and have a good time,” Patti Echsner, another fan, said.

And let's face it; picking the winners is hard work. It's next to impossible.

“I think N.C. State can make some noise. They looked very good in their play-in game,” Burch said.

“I've got to go with Tennessee, maybe getting past Duke,” Davis said.

But the fans are not the only ones with a job to do; they're looking at the Cats and the Cards to get down to business too.

“Kentucky’s picking up at the right minute. Louisville's hot. It's a lot of fun around here,” Burch said.
