(WHAS11) -- A federal judge has amended the plea agreement for Former McMahan Chief Paul Barth. He pleaded guilty last month to stealing nearly $200,000 meant for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
The hearing lasted about an hour. The motion calls for these new, amended restrictions:
--Barth was given a $100,000 bond, which he must show up at the federal courthouse by end of business day Wednesday to sign.
--No travel outside of the Western District of Kentucky.
--Must surrender his passport.
--Must report all financial transactions over $10,000 to the court/government.
This comes after Barth failed to pay nearly $200,000 in restitution to the Crusade for Children by a certain deadline, even though he purchased a home with $266,000 in cash. Barth must still repay the money and will serve three and a half years in prison.
