For the most part the main roads are okay, but it’s the neighborhood streets that still can cause crashes; and they already have.

Since the snow started late Wednesday evening, Louisville Metro Police said there have been 230 non-injury accidents, 69 injury crashes, 23 hit and runs and 49 stranded motorists.
Lt. Doug Sweeney said he had to get creative on the roads yesterday to get people to slow down.
Police said drivers need to use common sense and slow down, but that’s not something you’ll hear auto body shop owners telling drivers.
Police said slamming on the brakes on the ice is never a good idea, and be sure to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction of the way the car is sliding.
