LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Athletes around town are getting ready for the Ironman this Sunday, Aug. 26.
Around 2,800 athletes are in town for the event, and most of them will be practicing for the race. If you live along River Road and Highway 42, be aware there will be athletes going through your area. The race stretches from Jefferson County to Henry County.
