LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police have arrested a man on assault charges after they say he struck a man with a metal pan.
According to a police report, Richard Underwood, 30, struck a man with a metal pan approximately eight times. After the victim was knocked on the floor Underwood continued to strike the victim with the pan, according to the report.
The report says Underwood also threw a small glass table at the victim.
According to the report the victim's children witnessed the incident.
The victim was taken to the hospital and received eight staples to his head.
Police say the victim is Underwood's brother-in-law. Underwood has been charged with second degree assault.
