LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- The Asphalt Driveways Company in Louisville is being targeted my scammers.

The company has gotten several reports from previous customers over the last several years about men pretending to be with the company.

“We've had several reports of our previous customers who we've done their residential paving [in] the last year or two calling and tipping us off that there are some guys running around in a pickup truck,” President Kevin Gray said.

The complaints began to come in from angry customers back in March.

“They are going up to the door [and] they are asking the customers for the contract that we did a year before to pave the driveway,” Gray said.

These fake workers are charging more than triple the original asking price for the services they are providing. Gray says this work can only be done by people who are very skilled at what they’re doing.

The suspects were described as three men, one in his 40s and the other two in their 20s.

The Better Business Bureau has also been alerted on the matter and says that you, the consumer, should always be sure to verify that any company you are doing business with is legit.

A police report has been filed with LMPD.
