WADDY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Residents in Waddy, Kentucky are on alert after another report of a livestock attack on Ditto Rd. This comes months after several other attacks initially were reported in December.

Animal Control officers said a landowner discovered his dead calf last Thursday. A pit bull blamed for previous attacks has since been ruled out due to a lack of evidence.

Resident Wesley Sanford lives in the area where the attacks occurred.

“It's dogs I’m guessing. I’m 100% it’s dogs,” Sanford said.

Officials also believe it could be a dog because of how the calf was attacked. Evidence showed the calf was not hunted for food and therefore not likely killed by a coyote. Saliva samples have been sent to UC Davis in California where they will be able to confirm what type of species it is. There is no current timeline for when those results will be returned.
