LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- In celebration of the first ever Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards on Thursday in Louisville, the Muhammad Ali Center will be showing a few films that highlight the career and life of the champion boxer.
On October 2 at 8 p.m. the U.S. premiere of the HBO movie, “Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight,” will be shown. The film stars Christopher Plummer and Frank Langella and focuses on Ali’s fight against the U.S. Supreme court concerning his appeal of his 1967 draft evasion conviction. This viewing is by invitation only, according to the Ali Center’s website.
On October 3 at 4 p.m. and October 4 at 3:30 p.m. the showing of the seven minute short film, “Ali Speaks,” which is written by Eddie Goines.
“Ali Speaks” will be available for ticket holders and those who purchase a daily admission ticket.
Three Days of Greatness will be from October 2-4 at the Muhammad Ali Center at 144 N. .Sixth Street.
