A dozen students at Frost Middle School in southwestern Jefferson County have been suspended after they were caught taking prescription pills.

School officials say two 8th graders from the school brought in some pills and then passed them around to 12 other students on Friday.

Some of the students started acting strangely and an ambulance had to be called.

Two of them went to the hospital and all of the children's parents were notified.

School officials are still investigating and have not said what pills the children took.
