Snow, bitter cold expected in eastern Ky.

JACKSON, Ky. (AP) — Weather forecasters are calling for frigid temperatures and snow in eastern Kentucky.

The National Weather Service in Jackson says a light to moderate snowfall is expected Monday night and could hamper travel Tuesday morning. Snowfall is expected to continue through Tuesday afternoon and higher elevations could see up to 4 inches of accumulation.

The weather service says that bitter cold with wind chills near zero will accompany the snow.
