FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Public Service Commission reports more than 14,000 power outages remain after a snowstorm in eastern Kentucky a week ago.
That number, reported Friday, was down from a high of more than 100,000 that occurred after a winter storm Dec. 19 and 20 blanketed far eastern Kentucky with 8 to 12 inches of heavy snow, toppling trees and knocking down power lines.
The outage numbers from the PSC do not include municipal utilities.
