LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — South-central Kentucky authorities have identified a body found there as a man who had set out to rescue his wife in a storm.

The woman, Jodine Grover, survived and was rescued by firefighters, but Adair County Coroner Rick Wilson says 58-year-old William Grover died.

Search crews combing miles of a flooded creek found the body Wednesday. Authorities say the man had set out by tractor in a rainstorm Tuesday night to try to rescue his wife after her vehicle ended up in the flooded Harrodsfork Creek.

Authorities say Jodine Grover used her cell phone to call emergency dispatchers and her husband after her pickup truck was stranded in floodwaters Tuesday night near the couple's home.
