PAYNEVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say slick roads contributed to separate crashes that killed a woman and two children in Meade County on Monday.
In the first crash, a sport-utility vehicle crossed over the center line on Kentucky 144 near Payneville and crashed head-on into a truck around 7:30 a.m. EST. Two children, 6-year-old Michael F. Foushee and 2-year-old Adison Foushee, were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. State police say their mother, 30-year-old Carissa Foushee, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not seriously hurt.
In a second crash, state police say 46-year-old Donna Sexton of Rhodelia was killed when a car she was riding in collided with a truck on a curving portion of Kentucky 1239 at 11:30 a.m.
