GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) — The home of a former Kentucky lawmaker charged with murder has been sold at auction for $170,000 to help pay for his legal fees.
Steve Nunn, the son of former Gov. Louie Nunn, was indicted on a capital murder charge Tuesday, nearly two months after his arrest in the shooting death of his ex-fiancee Amanda Ross.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges a week after his arrest.
The Glasgow Daily Times reports in an online story Saturday that Nunn had transferred his home appraised at $200,000 to his attorney Warren Scoville. The attorney did not immediately return a phone message left by The Associated Press.
Nunn has also been indicted in Hart County on wanton endangerment charges stemming from his arrest at a cemetery where he was accused of firing a gun near six police officers hours after Ross was killed.
