PRINCETON, Ky. (AP) — A western Kentucky man convicted of second-degree manslaughter in the death of a 10-month-old boy has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Paducah Sun reports Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall III followed the jury's recommendation when he sentenced Philip Knee of Dawson Springs on Tuesday.

Knee was accused of smothering Ethan Cotton, the son of his former girlfriend, by holding a bottle tightly to the baby's mouth until he stopped breathing.

10 years is not nearly enough for someone who could just hold a bottle in a babies mouth by force until he stopped breathing, that is just vicious and they would have to have something wrong with them to take the time to wait for him to not take another breath. Unreal, 10 yrs !!!!

So KY judges feel a baby's life is only worth 10 years of the person that killed him? Wonder how much the judge thinks his life is worth? Or that of his family? People need to think long and hard about electing these idiots into our justice system. This is why there is so much crime. Because criminals no there is no real justice and they can do what they want and get away with it. Let someone hurt my son and I will have video on You Tube of me killing the scum.
