GE: 10,000 applications for 90 jobs

(WHAS11) - GE's Appliance Park in Louisville is amazed at the response to an advertisement for 90 jobs.? The job ad was placed only days ago.

GE's Louisville based spokeswoman tells us the company got 10,000 applications for those 90 jobs!

The manufacturing positions are to build washing machines at nearly $30,000 a year.

The hourly rate is thirteen dollars an hour. GE in Louisville says it's getting great support from the parent company right now because Appliance Park is seeing an upswing in business.

GE has stopped taking applications for the position.
