(WHAS11) - UPS is going green and becoming the first of its kind to offer you a greener package!

?

UPS is now the first small package carrier to offer its customers the ability to offset carbon dioxide emissions. The new carbon neutral program will offer US shippers the option of paying a small fee to calculate and offset the climate impact of the shipping of their packages. That money will be invested back into green programs.

?

It costs 5 cents per package for ground service and 20 cents for ups next day air. The UPS Worldport Air Hub is in Louisville.
