Nunn is charged with murder and violating a protective order in the shooting death of his former girlfriend, Amanda Ross.

Nunn's attorney waived a preliminary court hearing scheduled for Friday morning.

But Amanda Ross's family showed up in the courtroom wearing badges with her picture and the word "remember".

Nunn has pleaded not guilty to the murder.
