(WHAS11) - $5.9 million dollars for Ford Motor Company will help keep and create new jobs here in Louisville.
Congressman John Yarmuth says the federal loan will help retool facilities in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio.
He says the funds will keep Ford successful in Louisville for years to come.
The funding will help auto companies produce cars in the u.s. that increase fuel economy standards.
