(WHAS11)? Metro Police Chief Robert White's right-hand man is headed to Texas.

Metro Police Assistant Chief, Troy Riggs, is leaving the department and taking his own chief job in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Riggs also served as press secretary for former Jefferson County Judge Executive, Rebecca Jackson.? He is expected to take over as police chief in Corpus Christi on October 5.

With Mayor Jerry Abramson leaving office in December of next year, this departure could be a sign of things to come.
