(WHAS11) - It's an about-face for the Jefferson County School Board that will affect a lot of parents.
All after-school activities, profit and non-profit, have been re-instates.
Earlier this month, the district canceled the activities.
At the time the school system said a board policy doesn't allow " for profit" companies to hold programs on school grounds.?? Some schools were allowing them despite that rule.
But Monday night JCPS Superintendent Sheldon barman said he never asked the schools to cancel the programs.
"I know that I have never asked people to cancel," said Berman.
JCPS voted to continue all after-school programs both non-profit and for profit until the end of the school year.
However, they are now requiring the groups running those activities to have liability insurance and for all program leaders to have a background check.
