(WHAS11) - Monday, Mayor Jerry Abramson and Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear announced a new partnership to get started on the Ohio River Bridges Project.
The project will include two new bridges linking Kentucky and Indiana and the rebuilding of spaghetti junction.
Mayor Abramson says before we can build bridges of concrete and steel we need to build bridges of cooperation and creativity with Hoosiers.
Kentucky's negotiating team consists of five delegates chosen by the mayor and governor.
They will work with a similar team from Indiana over the next few months to develop the framework for a bi-state authority.
