Ford plans to increase production of vehicles

(WHAS11) - Ford Motor Company says it's increasing production twenty one percent in this quarter.

The manufacturer says it will build another 10,000 vehicles to meet the growing demand from the Cash for Clunkers Program.

The company plans to assemble more of the Focus and Escape.

Right now the Focus is the second most popular new car purchased under the 3 billion dollar cash for clunkers program.

The Escape is among the top 10.
