Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - City officials now say the damage to the downtown branch of the library is much worse than first thought.
From lost books to documents to carpet, damage could cost up to $2 million.
Wednesday crews spent time pumping at least a foot of water leftover from the basement of the library.
The downtown branch will remain closed until further notice.
