(WHAS11) - Nearly 6,000 General Motors workers are out of jobs. The blue-collar workers took the latest round of early retirement and buyout offers.
But, G.M. says that's not all of the workers they hope to lay off by the end of the year. Nearly 7,500 others may also lose their jobs before 2010.
The automaker announced in June it would close 15 factories by the end of 2012.
