(WHAS11) - Police are still looking for suspects the murder of a disabled veteran after his truck, which was missing, was found Monday night. James Duckett, 43, was found murdered in his home in the 5300 block of Rockbridge Road Monday.
Kentucky State Police and local law enforcement were looking for Duckett's pickup truck, a gray 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 four-door, which was missing from his home. The truck was found at 84 Lumber Company in Shelbyville late Monday night.
Police say Duckett was found by his sister in his home after he didn't show up for church. Authorities say he was tied up to a chair and tortured, with a number of stab wounds, including a slit throat.
Duckett was a Desert Storm veteran and family members say he battled alcoholism and post-traumatic stress, but that he had no known enemies.
Authorities say Duckett did report a burglary on Halloween in which he reported jewelry stolen, but they say they do not know if that is connected to his murder.
The State Medical examiners office is going over cause of death, they expect to issue a ruling in the next several days.
